Abstract
Nuestro artículo se centra en la importancia del secreto y el uso de la comunicación cifrada en la Italia renacentista. En la primera parte de nuestro trabajo, exploramos algunos de los tratados más innovadores que se han escrito para enseñar a los lectores cómo cifrar un texto. Posteriormente, analizamos las tipologías de textos cifrados, así como los desafíos actuales de la investigación sobre esta fuente.
Abstract: Our article focuses on the importance of the secret and the use of cyphered communication in Renaissant Italy. In the first part of our work, we explore some of the most breaking through treaties that have been written in order to teach the readers how to encrypt a text. Subsequently, we analyse the typologies of cyphered texts, as well as the current challenges of researching on this source.
