Abstract
Este estudio cualitativo tuvo como objetivo identificar las necesidades de capacitación para el desarrollo del turismo agroecológico en Curbatí, Barinas, Venezuela. Siguiendo las fases de investigación acción participativa, se realizaron entrevistas en profundidad a nueve informantes clave ( líderes, productores, baquianos, académicos e institucionales), triangulando la información para su validez. Los hallazgos revelaron un potencial turístico agroecológico desaprovechado debido a la falta de capacitación y a la escasez de infraestructura. No obstante, la comunidad mostró gran disposición para capacitarse. Se concluye que la capacitación es crucial para un turismo agroecológico innovador, holístico y sostenible que fomente el desarrollo socioeconómico, la educación, la salud y la resiliencia local.
