Abstract
Este artículo explora las publicaciones en lengua española sobre la investigación y la actuación del
Trabajo Social con familias y mujeres que sufren violencia. Método: Con esta finalidad se han revisado 170
artículos de Trabajo Social en ocho revistas publicadas en lengua española entre los años 2000 hasta el 2013.
Resultados: de los 170 artículos revisados, 23 (13.5%) cumplían los requisitos de un artículo científico al
contener una introducción teórica, la metodología utilizada, los resultados obtenidos, la discusión y conclusiones
relevantes para el Trabajo Social. Asimismo, los contenidos tratan de manera separada sobre la violencia
familiar y la violencia de género sin que se encontraran trabajos que abordasen de manera conjunta ambas situaciones.
Conclusión: los resultados de este análisis revelan que la disciplina de Trabajo Social necesita
potenciar la investigación integral de la violencia familiar y de género así como la calidad de las publicaciones
a fin de consolidar un cuerpo de teoría para el diagnóstico y la intervención en este ámbito.
This paper explores the publications in Spanish language on research and the performance ofSocial Work with families and women suffering violence. Method: With this purpose have been revised eightjournals and 170 Social Work papers covering the period between the year 2000 until 2013. Results: 170papers was revised, 13.5% met the requirements of a scientific paper to contain a theoretical introduction,methodology, results, discussion and relevant conclusions to Social Work. Also, in the content we find familyviolence and gender violence separately without research that addresses both situations together. Conclusion:the analysis reveals that Social Work needs to enhance the comprehensive investigation about domesticviolence and gender as well as the quality of the publications in order to consolidate a body of theory for thediagnosis and intervention in family violence and gender violence.
