dc.description.abstract	On the one hand, the short novel has lived in the shadow of other narrative genres such as the novel and the short story, and on the other, Spanish exile literature of the 20th century has lingered in the shadows of the “official” literature (the peninsular, the canonical in that sense), it is not difficult to deduce the resounding neglect or banishment of the short novel by Spanish writers in exile following the civil war, for which no study has been provided to date. In light of the prominent but scarce studies on this literary genre, especially those of a historical nature, this article proposes to offer some preliminary notes that contribute to its repositioning in literary histories and the compilation of a corpus text. This is also an assertion aiming to open up new avenues for research and approaches to the short novel.	es
dc.description.abstract	Si, por una parte, la novela corta ha vivido a la sombra de otros géneros narrativos como la novela y del cuento y, por otra, la literatura del exilio español del siglo XX lo ha hecho a la sombra de la literatura “oficial” (la peninsular, la canónica en ese sentido), no es difícil colegir el rotundo olvido o destierro de la novela corta de escritores españoles en el exilio que siguió a la guerra civil, para la que no ha aportado ningún estudio hasta la fecha. A la luz de los destacados pero escasos estudios sobre ese género literario, especialmente los de cariz histórico, se propone aquí aportar unas primeras notas que contribuyan a su reubicación en las historias de la literatura y a la confección de un corpus de textos, reivindicación con la que se desea también abrir otras vías de investigación y acercamiento a la novela corta.	es
