Abstract
Las administraciones públicas, como consecuencia de su actividad, disponen de un gran volumen de información que puede ser valiosa para el mercado. Hoy en día, la transparencia, la responsabilidad y la reutilización se han convertido en temas principales. Los datos públicos pueden ser una fuente de riqueza generadora de nuevos servicios para los ciudadanos.
En este trabajo intentamos acercarnos al análisis de la reutilización de información en el sector turístico. Teniendo en cuenta que la actividad turística es una de las mayores fuentes de empleo en el mundo y especialmente en nuestro país, la administración turística, en el ejercicio de su actividad, genera gran cantidad de información que podría ser utilizada comercialmente. Analizaremos la situación en Europa y en España tras la trasposición de la Directiva Europea y la situación del sector infomediario en nuestro país cuyas empresas elaboran aplicaciones y productos sobre la información abierta que ofrecen las Administraciones Públicas.
ABSTRACT: By nature of their activity public administrations possess huge volumes of information that could be valuable to the market. Today, transparency, responsibility and reuse are issues of importance. Public data can be source of wealth that generates new services for citizens, who should always bear in mind that these data have been generated from tax revenues, and therefore constitute a public good. This paper broaches the analysis of information reuse in the tourist sector. Given that tourist activity is one of the great job providers in the world, and especially so in Spain, tourist administration will, by nature, generate a huge amount of information for potential commercial use.
