Description
Abstract
escolar, calidad educativa.
This paper presents an analysis of the design of the diagnostic assessment test of Mathematics for the second year of Compulsory Secondary Education, held in the Region of Murcia during the course 2012-2013. The general approach of the test and its consistency with the objective stated in the order that regulates diagnostic assessment test (composition, items, wording, graphics ...), their application in schools (distribution, time to do it), and the correction of the test were studied. As a result, several conclusions that can help in improving future designs of math diagnostic tests were found. Moreover, given the educational and social impact that the publication of the results for the different centers and their position in a ranking will provide in the immediate future, and the public appreciation of the work conducted by the teachers of mathematics, it is very important that the instrument used will be of the highest quality and that the development of the test will have the guarantees according to the significance given to the outcome.
