Description
Abstract
En 1937
José María Arguedas fue recluido en
la penitenciaria
denominada
El Sexto.
La crítica es unánime en considerar que esta
dolorosa
experiencia le sirvió de sustrato
a Arguedas
para escribir años después una
novela con el mismo nombre:
El sexto
(196
1
). Lo que no se conoce es que
este autor,
para
escribir esta novela
,
mostrar y analizar
los
aspectos
coincidentes
,
que existen entre
los relatos de José Ortiz Reyes y
El sexto
de José María Arguedas.
Asimismo, nos prop
onemos
explicar la relación que se establece entre
ambos textos
.
n 193 7 José María Arguedas was detained in the penitentiary called El Sexto. The criticism is unanimous in considering that this painful experience served as a substrate for Arguedas to write years later a novel with the same name: El sexto (196 1 ). What is not known is that this author, to write this novel, was not only based on the own memories , but also on the stories of José Ortiz Reyes, a friend of his who was held in the same prison and for the same reasons. These stories werek nown by Arguedas, because Ortiz Reyes after writing the masked for advice to improve them and publish them. The aim of this article is to show and analyze the coincident aspects that exist between the stories of José Ortiz Reyes and El sexto de José María Argueda s. We also intend to explain the relationship between the two texts.
