Description
Abstract
Creativity would depend on openness, search and generation of experience in heterogeneous contexts. The article argues this hypothesis from the results found in three previous researches that link creativity and openness to experience. It was found that the most creative ones are hungry for experiences, deliberately seek more and new experiences, more and new spaces to develop their creative potential.Tthe brief argues about openness to experiences as consistently effective on different contexts oriented primarily by intrinsic motivations. Theories and research are reviewed to explain the relationship between creativity and openness from different perspectives and the value of intercultural experiences in building educational contexts favorable for creativity stands out. Creating spaces where individuals can interact with a diversity of people, languages, customs and ways of thinking, is creating opportunities for experiences and therefore creativity. Creative educational contexts are characterized as open environments with diverse experiences and intercultural dialogue.
