Abstract
La responsabilidad social corporativa no es un concepto nuevo. Sin embargo, se trata de
un tema de creciente interés entre académicos y profesionales constituyendo un valor al alza
en la sociedad actual y convirtiéndose en un nuevo reto para las empresas, incluidas las del
sector turístico. Este trabajo ofrece una evaluación de la práctica corporativa en materia de
responsabilidad social en este sector mostrando los resultados de una investigación cualitativa
exploratoria basada en la metodología de estudio de casos.
ABSTRACT: Corporate social responsibility is not a new concept. However, this is a topic of growing interest among academics and professionals being a rising value in today’s society and becoming a new challenge for companies, including the tourism sector businesses. This paper provides an evaluation of corporate social responsibility practice in this sector showing the results of an exploratory qualitative research methodology based on case studies.
