Abstract
ABSTRACT We studied the prevalence of Burnout with the Maslach Burnout Inventory in a sample of nurses working at the Complexo Hospitalario Universitario of Vigo - CHUVI- (Spain). The CHUVI is composed of five hospitals. We carried out a comparative, cross-sectional and observational study in these hospitals. We used a confidence interval of 95%, (a=0.05), a statistical precision of 5% (i=0.05) and a p value of 0.05. The questionnaires were delivered and collected between May and August 2005. The study showed a burnout prevalence of 13%.
