Abstract
La leyenda de Rómulo es un material literario, que debe ser analizado, principalmente, desde una perspectiva filológica, teniendo en cuenta los fenómenos propios en la trasmisión literaria de este tipo de narraciones, semejantes a otras como el mito, la fábula o el exemplum. Se trata de una versión más de la "leyenda del fundador", con elementos habituales en otros relatos de fundación de ciudades, naciones o religiones. Su proximidad a la leyenda de Ciro, sobre todo en su parte final, permite pensar en un autor griego que en su composición tuvo en cuenta el relato legendario del nacimiento del rey persa, pero es necesario explicar el origen de las diferencias entre ambas leyendas, sobre todo en su parte inicial.
Romulus's legend is literary material that must be analysed mainly from a philological perspective, taking into account the special features of this type of narrative texts and are similar to those of myths, fables and the exemplum. It is another version of "the founder's legend", with elements which are typical of other texts narrating the founding of cities, nations and religions. Its proximity to Cyrus's legend, mostly regarding its ending, leads us to attribute it to a Greek author who may have based it on the legend about the birth of this Persian king, but one needs to provide an explanation for the source of the differences between both legends, especially regarding their initial part.
