Abstract
El contenido del presente trabajo forma parte de una conferencia impartida en el curso "La asistencia sanitaria en la Edad Media y el Renacimiento" organizado por la Universidad Internacional del Mar en Septiembre de 2005.
El objetivo principal de este artículo es profundizar en las teorías obstétrico-ginecológicas que fueron transmitidas a la Edad Media, utilizando la teoría del útero errante como ejemplo concreto en la evolución de las ideas sobre el cuerpo femenino.
The present work is a conference that share part of the course «The sanitary assistance in the Middle Ages and the Renaissance», organized by the Universidad Internacional del Mar (University of Murcia) in September 2005. The main goal of this article is study in depth the gynaecological theory that were transmitted in the Middle Ages, usin the theory of wandering womb like example of different ideas about woman body, in the older books Corpus Hipocratico, Galeno and Sorano of Efeso.
