Abstract
Cada año las estadísticas demuestran que las medidas de protección a
las víctimas de violencia de género que establece el legislador no son suficientes
para erradicar este tipo de episodios. Aunque los medios de comunicación no le
hayan dado la difusión que merece, estadísticamente, la independencia económica
de la víctima ha demostrado ser el principal factor actuante en la prevención de
este tipo de episodios, y para lograr alcanzarla, el papel que representan nuestras
empresas es fundamental, pues con su actuación pueden ayudar a las víctimas de
violencia de género a acceder a un empleo o a conservar el que tuviesen.
Every year, statistics show that the measures to protect victims of gender violence established by the legislator are not enough to eradicate this type of episode. Although the media have not given it the publicity it deserves, statistically, the economic independence of the victim has proven to be the main factor acting in the prevention of this type of episode, and in order to achieve it, the role played by our companies is fundamental, because with their action they can help victims of gender violence to access a job or to keep the one they had.
