Description
Abstract
The knowledge, devotion and cult to the relic of the Holy Cross of Caravaca in Spanish America were taken (to the other side of the Atlantic) by the Franciscan, Jesuit and Carmelite missionaries (in addition to certain lay people), who had known during their stay in the respective convents in Caravaca the ancestral rituals with which the people fought against the uncontrolled natural elements that threatened their economy.
