Abstract
Resumen: El principal objetivo del cantar de gesta medieval francés es alabar la figura del caballero
así como su ideología. A priori la mujer está excluida de este universo eminentemente masculino. Sin embargo, en algunos de ellos le dan suficiente protagonismo para jugar un papel esencial. El objetivo de este trabajo es analizar una figura femenina que (re)aparece de un poema épico a otro: se trata de la princesa sarracena. Este estudio se centrará en las heroínas de Fierabras y La Prise d’Orange, Floripas y
Orable, respectivamente. El objetivo es analizar la representación de la identidad de la mujer pagana así como su progresiva metamorfosis a lo largo de la obra.
Abstract: The French medieval chanson de geste aims to laud the figure of the knight. A priori the woman is excluded from this male universe. However, it is epopees where it occupies an essential place. The aim of this paper is to analyse a type of woman who often appears in the medieval epic poem: the Saracen princess. The study will focus on the heroines of Fierabras and La Prise d’Orange, that is to say Floripas and Orable. More precisely, we will be interested in the representation of their identity as well as in its metamorphosis which occurs during the course of history.
