Abstract
En el presente Trabajo Fin de Grado se analizará la repercusión y trascendencia mediática
y conversación generada en redes sociales tras la emisión en abierto del docu-reality
"Rocío: Contar la verdad para seguir viva" durante marzo y junio de 2021. En este
mediático caso; Rocío Carrasco, hija de la cantante española Rocío Jurado, relataba por
primera vez ante la cámara el sufrimiento vivido con su exmarido durante sus años de
convivencia matrimonial y la forma en la que estos malos tratos afectaron a la relación
con sus hijos y posterior gestión del fallecimiento de su madre.
Su naturaleza comunicativa, fuerte carácter social y el hecho de haber sido emitido en
abierto en horario de máxima audiencia lo convirtieron en uno de los eventos más
seguidos y comentados del año, alcanzando así un elevado número de espectadores que
interpretaron el mensaje de diversas maneras. Frente a un testimonio de violencia de
género de un personaje público narrado en directo por televisión, la audiencia estaba
recibiendo constantemente mensajes tanto culturales como comunicativos, los cuales
generaron una repercusión en redes sociales muy valiosa a nivel comunicativo y
antropológico. En este estudio se analizará y estudiará dicha conversación ciudadana en
la red social Twitter para poder establecer un hilo conductor que nos permita entender
cómo recibió y gestionó la sociedad las amplias vertientes de este caso.
This Final Degree Project will analyse the media impact, transcendence and the discussion generated in social media after the open broadcasting of the docu-reality "Rocío: Contar la verdad para seguir viva" (Rocío: Speaking the truth to stay alive) between March and June 2021. In this highly publicised case, Rocío Carrasco, daughter of Spanish singer Rocío Jurado, spoke for the first time on camera about the suffering she experienced with her ex-husband during their years of cohabitation and the way in which this abuse affected her relationship with her children and the subsequent management of her mother's death. Its communicative nature, strong social character, and the fact that it was broadcast during prime time made it one of the most followed and commented events of the year, reaching a large audience of viewers who interpreted the message in different ways. Given a testimony of gender violence by a public figure on live television, the audience was constantly receiving both cultural and communicational messages, which generated a very valuable repercussion on social networks at a communicative and anthropological level. The present research will analyse and study this citizen conversation on the social network Twitter in order to establish a common thread that allows us to understand how society received and managed the wide-ranging aspects of this case.
