Abstract
La política educativa de la época de posguerra es-
pañola fue uno de los aspectos que definió la for-
mación de generaciones de españoles. Las carac-
terísticas especiales de la época propiciaron una
escolarización no universal en la que se dio una
diferenciación de clases sociales con la discrimi-
nación de las más desfavorecidas. Además, la mu-
tilación de la cultura española acrecentó el analfa-
betismo de numerosos españoles. Este panorama
se traslada a la obra narrativa de Carmen Laforet
como una crónica de la situación de la educación
a lo largo de los años cuarenta y cincuenta.
The education policy of the Spanish post-war era was one of the aspects that defined the formation of generations of Spaniards. The special characte- ristics of the time led to a non-universal schooling in which there was a differentiation of social clas- ses with discrimination of the most disadvanta- ged. In addition, the mutilation of Spanish culture increased the illiteracy of many Spanish people. This panorama moves to the narrative work of Carmen Laforet as a chronicle of the situation of education throughout the fourties and fifties.
