Abstract
En el presente estudio se intenta determinar el sentido y el alcance de dos términos
frente a los cuales se ha construido la filosofía
moderna triunfante en su época. El análisis muestra que dicha filosofía expresa a su modo ciertas
posiciones teológicas y políticas, y que con aquellos términos –«libertinismo» y «spinozismo»– es
designado un enemigo común para ambas disciplinas que, con el paso de los siglos, terminará
por imponerse como corriente filosófica fundamental de una Modernidad que ha combatido por
excluirlo de su horizonte.
The aim of this paper is to analyse the sense and the scope of two terms against which the dominant Modern Philosophy has been constructed. The analysis shows that this Philosophy expresses in its own way some Theological and Political positions, and that those terms –libertinisme and «Spinozism»– serve to name a common enemy to both subjects. Almost two centuries later, it will be recognised under these categories a fundamental current of thought that has enormously contributed to the intellectual construction of a period of unmerciful hostility against them
