Este artículo pretende demostrar que Augusto nació
en el mes de diciembre
astronómico, bajo el signo de Capricornio, en una f
echa que se correspondía con el septiembre
calendárico debido a las viejas discrepancias del c
alendario tradicional romano con respecto a la
realidad astronómica, así como señalar la endeblez
de las demás teorías propuestas acerca de
esta cuestión.
This paper aims to demonstrate that Augustus was b orn in astronomical December, under the sign of Capricorn, in a date that was equ ivalent to calendarical September because of the traditional inaccuracies of the Roman calendar with respect to astronomical reality, as well as remark the weakness of all the other theories pr oposed on this question.
