Abstract
Este artículo está dedicado al estudio de
la formación de la imagen corporal en los niños/as
con ceguera en edades comprendidas entre los 4 y
los 6 años. Presentamos para ello un trabajo experimental
en el que hemos analizado el conocimiento
que tenían los niños de nuestra muestra respecto a su
propio cuerpo y a la interiorización del mismo.
Utilizamos para dicha evaluación la prueba de
"hnagen Corporal" de Cratty y Sams (1968).
Analizados los resultados, diseñamos un programa
de práctica psicomotriz que se aplicó durante cinco
meses, con la finalidad de mejorar la adquisición y
construcción de la imagen corporal. Después del
mismo, en el postest, realizamos una nueva evaluación
para constatar los cambios producidos desde la
situación inicial.
Abstract: This paper describes the study of the formation of body-imagen of blind children between the ages of 4 and 6 yerars. We present the results of an experiment in wich we analysed the consciousness of their own bodies, and their ability to interiorise this knowledge in visually handicapped children of this age. For this experiment we used the "Corporal Image" test of Cratty and Sams (1968), especially desidned for visually handicapped. Having analysed the results, we designed a five month programme of psychomotor training. The aim of this programme was to help children improve the knowledge they have of their body-irnage and their ability to interiorise it. At the end of the programme, we conducted a further assessment to measure their progress.
