dc.description.abstractThe alkaline proteolytic system from a non-agglutinable strain of V. cholerae isolated from water has been analysed. Maximal levels of extracellular protease activity are produced during the stationary phase of growth. The proteolytic activity of the system shows a high stability and their synthesis appears to be partially repressed by glucose. The enzyme system is compossed of four distinct proteolytic enzymes as evidenced by SDS-polyacrylamide gel electrophoresis with copolymerized gelatin as substrate.
dc.description.abstractSe ha analizado el sistema proteolítico alcalino de una capa de V. cholerae no aglutinable de origen ambiental. Los niveles máximos de actividad proteolítica extracelular se producen durante la fase estacionaria de crecimiento. El sistema enzimático es muy estable y sus &íntesis es parcialmente reprimida por glucosa. La actividad proteolítica parece deberse a cuatro enzimas distintos según se evidencia mediante electroforesis en gel de poliacrilamida con SDS y gelatina copolimerizada como substrato.
