dc.description.abstract	El presente artículo pretende analizar el notable impacto de la globalización sobre la soberanía de los pueblos, el sistema democrático, los Derechos Humanos y, en suma, el conjunto de pilares que han sostenido el constitucionalismo desde su surgimiento a finales del siglo XVIII y hasta la actualidad. Igualmente, y a la vez que examinamos los efectos de la globalización, buscamos ofrecer alternativas a la destrucción de los derechos y principios políticos que en los últimos siglos han ido permitiendo un imperfecto pero progresivo empoderamiento ciudadano y un reconocimiento cada vez mayor de la dignidad de cada miembro de la comunidad política. Todo ello desde la convicción de que el pensamiento republicano que durante tantos siglos ha inspirado el constitucionalismo, es hoy la única vía para salvarlo.	es
dc.description.abstract	This article tries to analyze the notable impact of the globalization on the sovereignty of the peoples, the democratic system, the Human rights and, in sum, the set of props that have supported the constitutionalism from his emergence at the end of the 18th century and up to the current days. Equally, and simultaneously that we examine the effects of the globalization, we seek to offer alternatives to the destruction of the rights and political principles that in the last centuries have been allowing an imperfect but progressive civil empowerment and a recognition every time major of the dignity of every member of the political community. All this from the conviction of which the republican thought that for so many centuries has inspired the constitutionalism, is today the only route to save it.	es
