Abstract
En la parroquia de Nuestra Señora de la Asunción de Siles (Jaén), anteriormente dentro de los límites del Reino de Murcia, se conservan dos obras de platería, una custodia con figura en el astil y una lámpara, procedentes de Nueva España, que fueron enviadas por el prelado Juan Ortega Montañés como muestra de su patrocinio artístico hacia su tierra natal.

In the parish of Nuestra Señora de la Asunción of Siles (Jaén), formerly within the boundaries of the Kingdom of Murcia, there are kept two pieces of silverware: a monstrance with figure in the stem and a lamp, both sent from New Spain by the prelate Juan Ortega Montañés as proof of his artistic patronage towards his homeland.
