Abstract
Este artículo pretende dar una visión exhaustiva del fenómeno de hábitat rupestre en las poblaciones de Banyeres de Mariola, Beneixama, Alfafara y Bocairent. Se centra en el fenómeno rupestre de esta zona, estado ubicadas las cavidades en dos valles; uno en el valle de Bocairent y el otro en el valle del Comtat, la mayoría de las cavidades están ubicadas en los barrancos, en los cauces de los ríos y en las terrazas en las laderas de las montañas. Se plantean los nuevos horizontes que estos descubrimientos crean para la interpretación del conjunto de la zona. Así como a la tipología de las cavidades, y estas cavidades, algunas o varias pueden interpretarse como eremíticas, en la que varias se pueden ver que tienen apariencia de iglesias, en otra un cenobio y las demás tienen formas típicas de la tardoantigüedad.
This article seeks to give a comprehensive overview of the rock art habitat phenomenon in Banyeres de Mariola, Beneixama, Alfafara and Bocairent populations. It is focused on the rock art phenomena of this area, the cavities are located into two valleys, one in Bocairent and the other one in the Comtat, the most of the cavities are located in the gullies, in the watercourses of the rivers and in the mountainside´s terraces. The new horizons raise that this findings create for the whole interpretation of the area. As well as by the typology of the cavities, in these, some or several of them could be interpreted as eremitical, in some of them with church appearance, in others a monastery, and typical shapes of the late antiquity in the rest of them.
