Este artículo presenta los inicios literarios de la escritora argentina Libertad Demitrópulos, bien conocida por su obra narrativa, pero
no tanto por su producción poética. Se refiere la relación establecida con el
poeta español Juan Ramón Jiménez, que conoció y admiró su poesía, y que guardó en su archivo personal de Puerto Rico algunas cartas enviadas por ella, junto con un texto, una prosa poética inédita hasta ahora y que aquí reproducimos. Este texto temprano revela algunas de las preocupaciones que más adelante serán constantes en la obra de Libertad Demitrópulos, como el interés por el pasado prehispánico y por el pensamiento irracionalista.
This paper focuses on the literary beginning of argentinan writer Libertad Demitrópulos, well-known as a novelist, but not so much as a poet. However, she was a poet in her youth, when she met Spanish Nobel Prize Juan Ramón Jiménez, who admired her poetry, andkept some letters and texts from Demitrópulos in his archive, in Puerto Rico. There we found a poetic prose text, unpublished up to this time, that we present in this paper and that shows some motifs and topics that will be typical in Demitrópulos later works.
