Description
Abstract
The kind of work and the organization of the currently called Childhood Development and Early Intervention Centres have changed in the last decades; this change has meant a shift from multi-professional to interdisciplinary teams. The kind of intervention in those centres has also been modified, from an intervention focused solely on the child to an intervention which takes into account the children’s families as well as their natural developmental contexts. The current work reviews these changes and discusses the situation that early intervention professionals are currently facing up, which points towards a need to update the training and coordination of all the components of the team.
