Résumé: Nous nous proposons de montrer dans cet article
le résultat d’une petite recherche concernant
la présence de Molière dans la presse de
Gérone des dernières années du XIXe siècle et
du premier tiers du XXe. Des représentations
théâtrales, des traductions, des études ont été
annoncées dans les journaux de l’époque; les
titres de ses pièces et les personnages les plus
connus ont été évoqués; des critiques ont été
publiées. Parfois, ce sont des notices portant
sur des aspects personnels du dramaturge, ou
sur son entourage, qui sont présentées au lecteur.
Nous disposons donc d’un corpus qui a été
analysé et interprété dans le but de comprendre
la séduction exercée par Molière sur le public
catalan, et de faire connaître la perception
qu’on a eue de cet auteur dans notre pays, et
plus particulièrement à Gérone, dans la période
signalée
Abstract: In this paper we intend to present the results of a small research on the presence of Molière in the Girona press in the last years of the nineteenth century and the first third of the twentieth century. In the newspapers of the time plays, translations, studies were announced; the titles of the works and the most well known characters were evoked; some reviews were also published. Sometimes the reader is presented with some brief news referring to the playwright’s personal issues, or to his context. We have, therefore, a corpus that has been analyzed and interpreted in order to understand the seduction that Molière exerted on the Catalan public and to get to know the perception that this author has had in our country, and particularly in Girona in the indicated period.
