Description
Abstract
Numismatic, historical and diplomatic study of the coins issued by King Alfonso X of Castile and Leon, also known as "The Wise", during the first years of his reign. Following an in- depth and scientific analysis of his first billon coinages, some logical conclusions are reached concerning the identification of the first "burgaleses and prietos" coins produced by Alfonso, which determine in a more precise way the monetary and economic policy deployed by this monarch in the period between 1252 and 1264.
