dc.description.abstract	La obra “Viaje a Chiapas” es muestra de una singular exploración narrativa por parte de su autor, Sergio Pitol, que en ella se mueve por los terrenos del diario, la crónica y el ensayo. El texto, que nace en respuesta al levantamiento zapatista de 1994, no solo relata la breve incursión del autor en la región, sino pinta un lienzo de discursos y respuestas ideológicas que emergieron tras el estallido del conflicto. Ubicada como el epílogo del magistral El arte de la fuga (1996), la pieza ha sido un punto de encuentro para la crítica, que celebra su estilo de diario, su reflexión política, su capacidad de transgredir las fronteras entre géneros, y, así, convertir el relato en un procedimiento que rompe con las convenciones literarias. Partiendo de la hipótesis de que esta obra constituye un “testimonio”, este estudio se sumerge en sus profundidades discursivas, guiado por las teorías de Bajtín y los postulados de la poética testimonial. Con ello, se adentra en las tesituras dialógicas de un texto plurilingüe, revelando cómo las voces ajenas y propias se entrelazan en una dialéctica que da paso a nuevos significados. Al mismo tiempo, explora lo que define al testimonio; su urgencia, su compromiso con la verdad, su intrínseca hibridez, para así develar la peculiar manera en que “Viaje a Chiapas” se identifica con este género.	es
dc.description.abstract	Abstract: The work "Viaje a Chiapas" is an example of a singular narrative exploration by its author, Sergio Pitol, who explores the realms of diary, chronicle, and essay. The text, which was born in response to the Zapatista uprising of 1994, not only recounts the author's brief foray into the region but also paints a canvas of discourses and ideological responses that emerged after the outbreak of the conflict. Positioned as the epilogue to the masterful El arte de la fuga (1996), the piece has been a meeting point for critics, who celebrate its journal style, its political reflection, its ability to transgress the boundaries between genres, and thus transform the narrative into a procedure that breaks with literary conventions. Starting from the hypothesis that this work constitutes a "testimony," this study delves into its discursive depths, guided by Bakhtin's theories and the postulates of testimonial poetics. In doing so, it delves into the dialogic textures of a plurilingual text, revealing how voices from others and itself intertwine in a dialectic that gives rise to new meanings. At the same time, it explores what defines testimony; its urgency, its commitment to truth, its intrinsic hybridity, to reveal the peculiar way in which "Viaje a Chiapas" identifies with this genre.	en
