Abstract
Este trabajo de investigación constituye una aproximación al análisis y valoración de
la calidad visual del paisaje urbano de la ciudad de Mazarrón, considerando como unidades
de estudio cuatro de sus barrios (Casco, San Andrés, Urbanización La Cañadica y Barrio
Minero) muy diferentes entre sí y representativos a la vez de este núcleo urbano.
En la investigación se ha utilizado un método mixto: cualitativo y cuantitativo; no
experimental; descriptivo y exploratorio, apoyado en la realización de recorridos de campo
para identificar y analizar, mediante percepción directa, las dimensiones: morfológica,
funcional, social y medioambiental de los barrios seleccionados. Igualmente, se han utilizado
como instrumentos fichas y tablas en las que se trata el grado de integración de los elementos
urbanos a la vez que se identifican y cuantifican los diferentes tipos de recursos y variables
que aparecen, obteniendo la valoración final de la calidad visual para cada barrio. Asimismo,
se tuvieron en cuenta los datos aportados mediante la realización de entrevistas a una muestra
de participantes, para ver qué saben y cómo valoran la calidad visual de Mazarrón.
La obtención de un conocimiento más exhaustivo y real del entorno donde se habita,
facilita la integración de esta variable paisajística como aspecto para tener en cuenta en los
procesos de planificación, restauración y mejoras ambientales de la población de Mazarrón.
This research work is an approach to the analysis and evaluation of the visual quality of the urban landscape of the city of Mazarrón, whereas as units of study four of its neighbourhoods (Casco, San Andrés, Urbanización La Cañadica, Barrio Minero) representative at this urban core and very different from each other. In the research has been used mixed method: qualitative and quantitative, not experimental, descriptive and exploratory, supported in carrying out field trips to identify and analyse, through direct perception, dimensions: morphological, functional, social and environmental, in selected neighbourhoods. Also, it has been used as data sheets and tables which are treated the degree of integration of urban elements and it identify and quantify the different types of resources and variables that appear, getting the final valuation of the visual quality for each neighbourhood. Likewise, the data provided, by the participants, were taken into account to see what they know and how to appreciate the visual quality of the city of Mazarrón. Obtaining a comprehensive and real knowledge about the environment where they inhabit, it facilitates the integration of this variable landscape aspect to take into account in the process of planning, restoration and environmental improvements for the city of Mazarrón.
