Abstract
Este artículo analiza la recepción de Nietzsche de la teoría social de Spencer a partir de dos fragmentos póstumos de 1881. El objetivo será, a través de una investigación de fuentes y siguiendo las anotaciones en los libros conserva-dos en su biblioteca personal, mostrar el modo característico de Nietzsche de experimentar con las tesis de sus contemporáneos. Estas tentativas lo conducirán a una instrumentalización estratégica de las ideas de Spencer para postular, apoyándose en la fisiología y la teoría del derecho de Post, modelos originales de individualidad que se encuentran en las antípodas del organicismo.
This paper analyses Nietzsche’s recep-tion of Spencer’s social theory on the basis of two posthumous fragments from 1881. It aims to show Nietzsche’s characteristic way of experimenting with the theses of his contemporaries by means of an investigation of sources and the examination of Nietzsche’s annotations in the books kept in his personal library. This attempt will lead him to a strategic instrumentalisation of Spencer’s ideas in order to postulate, on the basis of physiology and Post’s legal theory, original models of individuality, which are the antithesis of organicism.
