Abstract
El concepto de turismo residencial evoluciona desde su apreciación convencional con motivaciones parecidas al turismo de masas tradicional hacia una nueva aceptación que implica la creación de nuevos espacios de ocio alejados de sus territorios de origen. En esta nueva aceptación, que implica una alta movilidad humana residencial, es básica la búsqueda de un estilo de vida en la que es importante la autorrealización personal y un deseo de una mejor calidad de vida. Así el turismo residencial se conforma como una manifestación de los nuevos comportamientos turísticos en el siglo XXI.
ABSTRACT: The concept of residential tourism evolves from its conventional appreciation with similar motivations to the traditional mass tourism toward a new acceptance that implies the creation of new leisure spaces far from its origin territories. In this new acceptance, that implies a high residential human mobility, it is basic the search of a lifestyle in which is important the personal self-realization and a desire of a better life quality. The residential tourism conforms to this way like a manifestation of the new tourist behaviors in the 21 century.
