Abstract
The aim of this study was to report on our experience and outcomes with Certain Prevail NanoTite Implants and immediate loading after a 12-month follow-up period. Immediate loading of oral implants has been defined as a situation where the superstructure is attached to the implants no later than 72 hours after surgery [1 and 2]. The definition of immediate loading also includes occlusion with the teeth of the opposite jaw. Several experimental studies have shown that immediate loading of threaded implants does not necessarily lead to fibrous tissue healing. Instead, bone-to-implant contact (BIC) develops over time, which is comparable with that of implants that are loaded conventionally [3 to 6].
