Description
Abstract
adecuadamente leídos, pues recogen y transmiten tradiciones viv
as a finales del siglo XVI y
Madrid. 4) La leyenda de la Cruz de Caravaca. Finalmente, se of
recen unas refl
exiones sobre el
género histórico de los “chronicones”.
This paper deals with the historical interest of the “chronicon es” when properly read due to the fact that they compile and transmit traditions from the end of the 16th century, serving as historical sources. Four examples are claimed: 1) The location of the visigothic town Begastri. 2) The Cult of the Saints at Bugejar fountain. 4) The specifi c case of the cult to Fabricianus and Philibertus saints, at Titulcia and other villages in Madrid. 4 ) The Cross of Caravaca’s legend. Finaly we make some refl ections about the historical genre of these “chronicones”.
