Abstract
A partir de una selección de las primeras experiencias del saxofón en el
flamenco, las grabaciones realizadas por los saxofonistas Fernando Vilches y el Negro
Aquilino, y previa transcripción musical, se lleva a cabo un breve estudio de las
mismas con el propósito de determinar de qué forma y con qué recursos el saxofón se
acercó al género.
Regarding the early manifestations of the saxophone flamenco, performed by the saxophonists Fernando Vilches and the Negro Aqu ilino, I will realize a brief analysis of a selection of them. The information ob tained will be used to establish a set of conclusions according to the way in which the sa xophone was introduced in this genre and where it evolved.
