Abstract
El presente trabajo muestra la vigencia de las teorías marxistas del imperialismo y de la dependencia a partir de problematizar el papel que juega América Latina en la crisis contemporánea de la economía mundial. Para ello se revisan y analizan los fundamentos históricos, teóricos y políticos del imperialismo y la dependencia. Posteriormente, a partir de una sistematización documental, se muestra cómo la crisis global de la presente época generó un entorno económico, social y laboral adverso para la región de Latinoamérica como parte de su condición de subordinación dentro del mercado mundial.
The present work shows the validity of the Marxist theories of imperialism and dependence from problematizing the role of Latin America in the contemporary crisis of the world economy. For this, the historical, theoretical and political foundations of imperialism and dependence are reviewed and analyzed. Later, from a documentary systematization, it is shown how the global crisis of the present epoch generated an adverse economic, social and labor environment for the Latin American region as part of its condition of subordination within the world market.
