Abstract
Si entendemos que la comunicación efectiva requiere conocer cómo el receptor recibe y percibe el contenido (Te'eni, 2011), especialmente si se trata de comunicación del conocimiento y no tanto en cuanto comunicación de hechos, entonces es necesario estar familiarizado con el concepto de visualización del conocimiento (Eppler and Burkhard, 2004). Este campo, todavía emergente, se refiere básicamente al uso de representaciones visuales de información y cómo este uso viene condicionado por dos puntos de vista: el punto de vista del usuario y el punto de vista de aquel que ha diseñado la representación gráfica de la información. Con este propósito, este estudio analiza el impacto de los modelos de visualización del conocimiento en el aprendizaje significativo y, más en concreto en el aprendizaje en redes. De igual manera, el estudio examina la posibilidad de introducir editores de presentaciones más dinámicos e innovadores como por ejemplo Prezi (Prezi, 2009) en la experiencia práctica que exige la teoría. Básicamente, Prezi permite que el diseñador de la representación gráfica priorice unos conceptos sobre otros en función de su significancia y no tanto en cuanto la linealidad secuencial que los modelos de conocimiento tradicionales arrastran con sus representaciones visuales de conocimiento
If effective communication, particularly the communication of knowledge rather than the communication of facts, requires knowledge of how the message may be understood and considered by the receiver (Te'eni, 2011), it is thus necessary to be acquainted with the concept of knowledge visualization (Eppler and Burkhard, 2004). This emergent domain refers to the use of visual representations of information and how it can be viewed from two perspectives: from the point of view of the user and from the point of view of the designer of a graphic representation. To this end, I discuss the impact of knowledge visualization models in a significance-based learning. In connection to this, I explain the positive role of introducing new and dynamic zooming presentation editors, such as Prezi (Prezi, 2009), in the everyday classroom experience. The study is based on the fact that Prezi allows users to prioritize notions depending on its content-based significance and not so much on the sequential linearity that traditionally drags along visual representations of information.
