El aprendizaje abierto y a distancia, una fuerza que contribuye claramente al desarrollo social y económico, se ha ido convirtiendo en una parte indispensable de la educación, y ha ido ganando aceptación dentro de los sistemas educativos tradicionales, tanto en los países desarrollados como en desarrollo, pero particularmente en estos últimos
(UNESCO, 2002).
Este trabajo surge como una respuesta a la ausencia de información acerca del estado actual de la educación a distancia en la Universidad Autónoma de Yucatán, elemento considerado de gran importancia en el Modelo Educativo y Académico de la Institución (UADY, 2002). Los resultados de este estudio se discuten bajo el programa Nacional de Educación Superior 2007-2012 de México
Open learning and over a distance, a force that he contributes clearly to the social and economic development, has been turning into an indispensable part of the education, and has been gaining acceptance inside the educational traditional systems, both in the developed countries and in development, but particularly in the above mentioned (UNESCO, 2002). This work arises as a response to the absence of information about the current state of the education over a distance in the Autonomous University of Yucatan, considered element of big importance in the Educational Model and Academician of the Institution (MEyA, 2002). The paper discusses some implications of results under the umbrella of Mexico’s Program for Higher Education 2007-2012
