Abstract
El presente trabajo gira en torno a la eliminación del antefuturo de subjuntivo (hubiere cantado) del español de América. Además de comentar la historia, el uso y las causas de la desaparición de dicha forma, el autor aprovecha los datos disponibles en el corpus CORDE para registrar los primeros síntomas de su debilidad en el continente americano y los compara con los cambios ocurrridos en la península ibérica
The aim of this article is to comment on the elimination of antefuturo de subjuntivo (hubiere cantado) from Latin American Spanish. Apart from drawing attention to the history, the usage, and the causes of the disappearance of this form, the author uses the data gathered in the Corpus Diachronic of Spanish (CORDE) to register the first symptoms of its weakness in Latin America and compares them to the changes that occurred in the Iberian Peninsula.
