Description
Abstract
Abstract: The appendices constitute a detailed technical study by the author on the complex doctrine of the «days of work» (ayyām aš-ša’n) of Ibn 'Arabī, as set out in his book The Book of the Days of Work. They include comparative tables, analyses and findings, as well as a historical and doctrinal contextualisation. It compares Ibn 'Arabī’s correspondences with those of other contemporary authors (Aḥmad al-Būnī) and later ones (Ignazio Danti). Furthermore, it includes an extensive section of extracts from the Futūḥāt al-Makkiyya (The Meccan Revelations) relating to the three essential realities that govern the days in which Ibn 'Arabī mentions these same principles (the essential realities of enveloping, removing and causing to penetrate).
