Using histochemical and autoradiographical techniques the location of Zn in the hyaline cartilage of the Wistar rat was studied. A triple location was observed in the territorial matrix; in the chondrocyte; and in the perichondrio (cellular area). We believe that the molecules which were observed carrying Zn could be alkaline phosphatase, timidin-kinase and chondroitinsulphuric acid.es
