Description
Abstract
The policies of the European Union in the attempt to implement a Common European Asylum System are confronted with increasing restrictions on the entry of foreigners into its member countries, particularly in the case of asylum seekers on religious grounds. Therefore, the necessary reforms in this area must avoid the drift of such policies towards strict security terms and lead them towards respect for the right to religious freedom and its connections with other fundamental rights, based on the principle of solidarity as an essential principle of the entire European Union system.
