Abstract
El español de España y el español latino son dos opciones de doblaje que se asocian
respectivamente a España y a Hispanoamérica. Tras una breve introducción sobre
ambos modelos de traducción y sobre los criterios de selección léxica del español
latino, este artículo expone un análisis comparado de las características léxicas de
ambas versiones de doblaje, tomando como muestra la transcripción de un capítulo de
la serie de televisión americana Friends. El procedimiento de análisis sigue las pautas
del proyecto de investigación DIES-M (Difusión Internacional del Español a través de
los Medios). El análisis cuantitativo y cualitativo se centra en las frecuencias del
léxico, la densidad léxica, el léxico marcado y no marcado, el léxico diferencial de
ambas versiones, y los contextos de aparición del léxico analizado.
Castilian Spanish and Latin American Spanish are two dubbing options associated with Spain and Latin America respectively. After a brief introduction on both translation models and on the lexical selection criteria of Latin American Spanish, This article presents a comparative analysis of the lexical characteristics of both dubbing versions, taking as a sample the transcription of a chapter from the American television sitcomFriends. The analysis procedure follows the guidelines of the research project DIES-M (International Diffusion of Spanish through the Media). The quantitative and qualitative analysis focuses on the frequencies of the lexicon, the lexical density, the marked and unmarked lexicon, the differential lexicon of both versions, and the contexts of appearance of the analyzed lexicon.
