Abstract
Este artículo analiza la profesionalidad pedagógica al hilo de la ética profesional. Repasando la historia más reciente de Cuba, su autora intenta dar contenido a la ética profesional de los profesores.-- Concluye el artículo que la profesionalidad pedagógica expresa la síntesis entre los valores y cualidades morales que caracterizan la esencia humanista de la labor del maestro y el dominio de la ciencia que enseña, de los métodos de las habilidades profesionales.
This article analyses professional ethics with reference to the pedagogical profession. The writer reviews the most recent Cuban historical events in order to give content to the teachers' professional ethics. Finally, this article concludes that pedagogical professionalism expresses the synthesis between moral values and qualities, which caracterise the humanistic essence of the teachers' task as well as the mastery of the science they teach, their methods and professional abilities.
