Description
Abstract
Study of an Iberian pillar-stele located with other architectural remains and material reused in the christian medieval walls of the Castle of Caudete (Albacete). The piece must come from ‘Capuchinos’, an important iberian cemetery on the way from Mogente to the Cerro de los Santos in the pre-Roman “Road Hannibal”, which has provided an important set of architectural elements and sculptures. The revised set of ‘Capuchinos’ raises the diffi- culty of identifying a local workshop in the area, while allowing assign the new pillar-stele a regional workshop located near Caudete and Jumilla.
