Abstract
SUMMARY: INTRODUCTION. The operating rooms are one of the more complex environments of work in the sanitary assistance and it is a place where the appearance of adverse events is frequent. For it it has developed and implemented a checklist of surgical safety that beside contemplating the elements of checking of the WHO inside the operating room includes other elements of check of the whole surgical process. RESULTS. On the basis of the exposed results, an increase is verified in the incorporation of the LVSQ as the years went by of 65 % in the year 2009 to 94 % in the year 2010. During the year 2011 it has diminished up to 88, 87 %. The average fulfillment of the part corresponding to the operating room that is the included one in the record of the WHO, is kept around 70 % in last two years. DISCUSSION. We consider indispensably, to continue insisting not only the incorporation of the LVSQ, if not in the quality of I complete. It is for it that the results obtained in every realized audit identify theirs opportunities of improvement on which to apply successively the cycles of improvement. Therefore we propose to continue with the plan of monitoring established this way to help to guarantee the constant improvement of the assistance that we give to the citizens.
