Description
Abstract
Musculoskeletal disorders stand as the most frequent type of pathology in musicians. This type of osteomuscular affection is given as a consequence of the repetitive movements of the instrumental practice, the harmful postures or the establishment of an inadequate technique. Its prevention goes through an anatomical, ergonomic knowledge and the different techniques or exercises that can be applied for this purpose. In this framework, the existing ignorance regarding the subject among the professionals involved in the field is revealed and, finally, the need to eradicate it. Thus, teacher training is advocated, and the establishment of a subject in the Professional Music Education that deals with the prevention of injuries in musicians is proposed, showing through the following investigation an experimented Didactic Programming intended for woodwing students.
