    The aim of this paper is to analyse the tourism-driven gentrification process of touris-mification using the most recent literature and the case study of Venice (Italy). First will be analysed the recent history of the city to better understand why and how this phenomenon outburst in the initial stages, and then data will be analysed to understand which implications this phenomenon can have economically, socially, and culturally speaking, and what should a strategy consider dealing with this issue.
