Abstract: Based on the Semiotics of Poetry conceptualised by Michaël Riffaterre, the present study postulates that Narcisse Mouellé Kombi II’s L’Imparfait de l’exil is offered as a representation of the frustrations of a poetic wandering whose base is the barbarism of contemporary African man. How then does the poet disassociate himself from these practices which both alienate and obstruct the development of man? The aim of this work is to show that Moulesian poetry postulates living together through the postulation of an alternative ideology, which we perceive as alter-mondialism. Its implementation would free man from the bosom of a Hobbesian wolf lurking in the shadows, working to damage the city through the use of violence and incongruities arising from a crisis of multiform freedoms.
