    Resumen: En el presente artículo proponemos seguir el rastro de varios autores, todos belgas francófonos, que se han interesado por Asturias en los siglos XIX y XX: Herman Bodson, Mathieu Corman, Albert Ayguesparse, Joseph Mélot, Albert t'Serstevens, Nojorkam, Jacques Izoard, Eugéne Savitzkaya y Eric Brogniet. A través del estudio de sus obras, novelas, ensayos y poemas, analizaremos una serie de motivos recurrentes (la revolución de octubre de 1934, algunas costumbres y tradiciones, los paisajes, la gente) para determinar la visión de Asturias que surge de sus escritos.

    Entre la exigencia de la verdad y la intrínseca subjetividad: La isla de Mallorca en la prensa francesa de finales del siglo XIX

    From 1870, the travel report triumphs in the daily press, and as a conse- quence, a new figure appears, the correspondent or travel reporter. Contrary to the style of romantic travel writing, the travel report aims to exclude the "feelings that pass " as written by Edouard Conte, to only tell the actual truth with all possible objectivity. His writing being daily, the journalist tries to give a sensation of truth that cannot always hide his subjective point of view. From the study of the writing of four French journalists from the daily newspaper or specialized magazine, who visited Mallorca from 1887 to 1894, Frederic Donnadieu, Jules Hippolyte, Andre Hallays and Edouard Conte, we analyze how their gaze on the island oscillates between the demands of the truth and the inherent necessity of subjectivity.

    Los repertorios de libros de viajes como fuente documental.

    La literatura de viajes ha constituido uno de los géneros literarios más abundantes a lo largo de la historia. Desde la antigüedad hasta nuestros días, ha exis-tido una notable preocupación por dejar constancia de todo aquel lugar visitado, de su cultura, economía, costumbres y tradiciones, historia, etc. En todos ellos ha habido un componente básico, la Información, cuya posesión ha diferenciado a unos países de otros. No en vano, y como en la actualidad, la información es poder, y con tal premisa, y desde el siglo XV, y en especial durante el siglo XVIII, ha existido un interés por recopilar toda la información circulante, como ahora la literatura de viajes, presentándola en forma de Bibliografías y Repertorios.

    Off she went: travel-writing in women of the Beat generation

    Through the examples of Brenda Frazer, ruth weiss, Joanne Kyger, and Janine Pommy Vega this article contests the immobility traditionally attributed to women of the Beat milieu. Through the analysis of their poetry and fiction— and with works spanning four decades—it analyses how these poets not only contested narrowing representations of female mobility and agency surrounding the silent chick stereotype, but also used their work to develop a heterogenous approach to subvert the male Beat Road as well as the traditional male quest narrative in the representation of the land and the other, challenging—among others—the impetus on dominion and the finality of the journey.
